Diamond DA42
From Flyiki - the aviation wiki
Diamond's twin-engine turboprop, known as the Twin Star. Initially powered by Thielert diesel engines. After Thielert went bankrupt, two new models were developed: the DA42 NG ("New Generation") and DA42 L360 (named after the Lycoming 360 engine). The 136HP Thielert engines were underpowered—Diamond attracted criticism for the discrepancy between published and observed performance figures—and both the replacement models fix this: the NG has twin 170HP AE300 engines, while the L360's two Lycoming engines produce 180HP each.
The initial model sips fuel frugally enough that it's capable of a trans-Atlantic crossing (12.5 hours, 5.7gph).
